Background
My first experience in the field of psychology was working as a counselor with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. That experience sparked my curiosity about human development and psychological functioning. I studied human development and linguistics at UC San Diego, and went on to work at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies at the Laboratory for Cognitive Neuroscience.

I completed my doctoral training  at the University of Florida.  While living in Florida, I enjoyed paddling around in it's many streams, swimming with manatees, and getting drenched by afternoon storms. After completing my clinical training (7 years total), I worked as a staff psychologist in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Kaiser Permanente San Francisco Medical Center. In this role, I was also served as a pain psychologist at the Center for Pelvic Pain, working alongside physicians, nurses and pelvic physical therapists helping women with pelvic pain conditions. In 2019, I founded Bloom Psychology, which is my private clinical psychology practice. At Bloom Psychology, I provide evidence-based treatment with focus on women's health including pregnancy and postpartum, relationships, anxiety/OCD, chronic pain management, female pelvic pain disorders, and gerontology.  
 
In prior generations, we lived in large families, villages and tribes and didn't have to do all this adulting by ourselves. If you are feeling overwhelmed,  you are not alone, I'm here to be a part of your village.
